How Popular are Vintage Nascar Diecast Collectibles and Cars?

Where have all of the vintage nascar diecast cars gone?  It may have been difficult to find them in the past, but times have changed thanks to Motorsports Authentics out of Concord, NC according to Dave Caldwell in the February, 2008 New York Times.  Nascar diecast collectible cars increased in popularity in the 1990s.  At that time, it was easy to find nascar diecast collectibles.  Recently Motorsports Authentics introduced their new Action Racing Collectibles Platinum Series.  It is now easier to get nascar diecast collectibles for drivers such as Richard Petty, Bill Elliott, Darrell Waltrip, and Benny Parsons.  The cost for these models average around $70.
