Where can I find a diecast collectible of Ward Burton's Nascar racecar with the large VT logo on the hood?

The car Ward ran in the May 5, 2007 race at Richmond, VA was the "car of tomorrow" design and had a large VT logo on the hood of the car. He may have ran the same car in the April 21, 2007 race at Phoenix. I would like to purchase a diecast collectible of this car but haven't been able to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where they can be found? I'm assuming it's not available yet but would like to know why or when it would be available.

Have you tried www.qvc.com they have a special called "For Race Fans Only" it usually airs on friday night but you can look through the merchandise online, if they don't have it you might be able to email them and ask them about it.

Would you like to see NASCAR diecast cars with a driver inside?

F1 diecast and IRL diecast put a driver in the diecast… Do you think Action put a figurine inside. I think its pretty cool to see each driver's helmet

Heck yes! That would be cool too if it came with the pit crew and pit road too. Like Lynnell trains makes all that stuff for the trains they could do that with Nascar too. Then it would be even cool if you could purchase a track (miniature) put you pit crew (movable die cast) and cars on it and have them run.

Good idea. I'm in a creative thinking mood now.

I'm 33 and I would love to have that and play with it.

EDIT: I just thought of something else. Also die casts of the trailers that the cars go into, if they do not have that already.

What are the different teams in Nascar and which are the tracks?

I'm a F1 fun and an absolute begginer in Nascar. Could you tell me what are the best website about it?

It would be NASCAR.com. Some of the main teams are: Hendrick Motorsports, Roush Racing, Richard Childress Racing, Penski South, Ganassi Racing, DEI and Petty Enterprises. As for race tracks Daytona, Talladega, Martinsville, Bristol, Pocono, Richmond, Lowes Motor Speedway and there are more tracks throughout the United States. They also use a road course in Mexico has of 06, and in 07 the Gilles Villeneuve track in Montreal,Canada for the Busch series.

High Gas Prices Have Little Affect on Nascar Diecast Collectibles

According to an article written by Van Cox for Nascar.com, the $4 gas prices that the United States experienced the last couple of months had little affect on the price of nascar diecast collectibles. Here is a excerpt from the article written on September 8, 2008:

With the price of gasoline eclipsing $4 per gallon, people from every walk of life — race fans included — are turning a more scrutinous eye toward their disposable incomes.

And let’s face it, racing memorabilia doesn’t come close to making the short list of things we can’t live without. But even in today’s tenuous economy, NASCAR collectibles — die-cast replicas in particular — are proving to be a constant. In fact, in most cases, there have been only minimal price increases over the past decade.

I’m not paying that much more for NASCAR collectibles today than I was 10-12 years ago,” reflects longtime die-cast collector Bill Kress. “In some cases, I’m probably paying less because there is more stuff available. More people are selling on the internet. Dealers are offering better deals on cars that are outdated. And I think, compared to everything else in the world, manufacturers have done a pretty good job of keeping the prices of die-cast down.”

They certainly have. Mark Dyer, president and CEO of Motorsports Authentics, confirms that the pricing of Action die-cast hasn’t changed all that much in recent years.

“Our Action Racing Collectibles 1:24 scale car typically sells for around $65-70,” Dyer notes. “Ten years ago, that same car was somewhere in the $50-60 range. So, if you annualize that over the past decade, there really hasn’t been much of an increase at all.”

Wendell Scott - Black Nascar Pioneer

Wendell Scott is the first and only black driver to ever win a stock car race in what is today know as the Sprint Cup Series. Only six other black drivers are known to have started at least one race in what is now the Sprint Cup Series: Elias Bowie, Charlie Scott, George Wiltshire, Randy Bethea, Willy T. Ribbs and, most recently, Bill Lester, who made the field for races at Atlanta and Michigan in 2006. Those drivers have made a combined nine Cup starts. Scott was born in Danville, Virgina and earned his racing experience on the backroads of Virginia and the local race tracks and speedways of Virginia and North Carolina.

After a successful stint racing in the sportsman and hobby divisions in Virginia, Scott moved up to the Nascar Grand National division. In the 1963 season, he finished 15th in points, and on December 1 that year, driving a Chevrolet Bel Airpurchased from Ned Jarrett, he won a race on the one-mile dirt track at Speedway Park in Jacksonville, Florida — the first and to date only top level NASCAR event won by an African-American. Scott was not announced as the winner of the race at the time, presumably due to the racist culture of the time. Buck Baker, the second-place driver, was declared the winner until NASCAR issued a correction a few days later.

He continued to be a competitive driver despite his low-budget operation through the rest of the 1960s. In 1964, Scott finished 12th in points despite missing several races. Over the next five years, Scott consistently finished in the top ten in the point standings. He finished 11th in points in 1965, was a career-high 6th in 1966, 10th in 1967, and finished 9th in both 1968 and ‘69. His top year in winnings was 1969 when he won $47,451.

He was forced to retire due to injuries from a racing accident at Talladega, Alabama in 1973. He achieved one win and 147 top ten finishes in 495 career Grand National starts.

Wendell Scott’s car has been recognized in the form of a nascar diecast collectibles.

How much do 7-10 year old Nascar collectibles go for?

My dad gave my son a bunch of Nascar collectibles and I was just curious as to how much we might be able to get for them if I sold them on eBay. They seem to mostly be the old McDonald's car driver number 98, I think?
actually I just looked it up, the driver is number 98, Bill Elliot.
oops, number 94

Best way to find out what you could get on eBay is to find out what others have gotten on eBay. Go to eBay, click on Advanced Search. Put in a couple of keywords to describe your item then put checks in the boxes that say "Completed Items Only," and "Search Title and Description."

NASCAR DIECAST COLLECTORS, Whatever Happened to the magazine Diecast Digest?

I can’t find it anywhere. Did they stop making it, or Did all the stores where I live stop carrying them?
The Diecast Digest magazine has quit selling Their Magazines in Local Stores for a Few Years now Such as the Magazine sections of Walmart-K Mart-Krogers. I liked their Magazine and its articles and Questions and Asker Section–Plus the Collectors Picture Section– I have Nothing against The Action Racing Collectibles Company BUT They have Put Many other Diecast Companies out of Business as Far as Nascar Diecast- Such as Racing Champions-ERTL-Pole Position and Matchbox to name a few–They also Are so Expensive they have Put 100s of Mom & Pop Type Nascar Diecast Shops out of Business!!!!! The Most up to date Diecast Digest I have is June 2006 I dony Know if they are still in Business Or Not!!!!–The Reason I mentioned the Action Stuff is Diecast Digest Magazine used to Beat their Bandwagon drum and Promote them and have Articles telling their Collectors to buy Action–Support Your Local Nascar Shop–Dont Buy Diecast from the Internet and Chain Stores–Now with The Monopoly –There is No Different Diecast Companies to Choose From and No Local Diecast Shops to Buy From–They sort of Put Theirselves out of Main Stream Marketing–Not Everybody can afford 12.95 for a 1/64 diecast piece and 49.99 or higher for a 1/24 scale!!!!!
